Smartwings Poland plans big for Christmas in Colombo , Smartwings Poland of Czech Republic will fly to Colombo, Sri Lanka, starting on Christmas Eve. The move focused on capitalizing on the large number of European travelers visiting Sri Lanka during the Northern winter of 2025/26. The flight will operate from Warsaw to Colombo via Muscat. The airline’s Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft will be deployed to serve this route on a weekly basis. Sri Lanka, a top tourist destination in the world, attracts a large number of European tourists during the winter. The move is part of Smartwings, overall strategy of adding more destinations during the winter. Smartwings operates to 80 destinations and is the the largest Czech airline and a member of the Smartwings Group. The airline has been present on the market for 28 years with several other airlines in the Group, such as Sp. z.o.o., Smartwings Slovakia, and Smartwings Hungary, Kft.
