Alec Golinger Finds Out That “Sri Lanka is ‘Heaven,’

Alec Golinger, an Australian model, actor, and musician, has just wrapping up a tour of Sri Lanka — and he’s calling it heaven.

Across his social media, the 21-year-old rising star of Australia’s entertainment industry has been reaching for superlatives to describe the island.

Standing atop a mountain in one post, he wrote simply, “In heaven in Sri Lanka.” In another, he declared, “Sri Lanka has the best views.“

While soaking up traditional rural life in Habarana, Golinger described the experience as “stepping back in time in Sri Lanka.”

“Watching the famous train cross the Nine Arches Bridge in Ella was such a special moment,” he wrote in one of his posts.

He named the scenery at Ella — home to one of the most photographed railway bridges in the world — as one of his favourite memories from the trip.

This byciting the atmosphere and the energy of everyone around him as what made the moment stand out.

Golinger also spoke about experiencing bullock carts, traditional boats, and village cooking in Habarana.

According to the Australian simple, traditional elements of Sri Lankan rural life that he said reminded him that the most meaningful travel moments are often the simplest ones.

Wildlife made the list too.

He described seeing wild elephants at Yala National Park as one of the most unforgettable experiences of his trip, calling it “truly amazing” to see the animals in their natural habitat.

From there, it was on to the hill country.

“No trip to Sri Lanka is complete without a visit to its tea country,” Golinger said, describing his time exploring Nuwara Eliya as “such an incredible experience” and one of the most beautiful parts of the island.

On the east coast, Golinger visited Pasikuda, which he described as bringing a taste of “little paradise.” He called it “such a beautiful spot — the perfect place to slow down, enjoy the ocean, and take in the beauty of Sri Lanka.”
