FitsAir Flies to Lahore and Expands To Five Destinations , Sri Lanka’s budget carrier, FitsAir, has launched direct flights to Lahore, marking its first entry into the Pakistani market. The inaugural flight, 8D-981, landed at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore, a major eastern city in Pakistan. “A new runway, a new beginning—Lahore, we have arrived,” the airline posted on its official Facebook page upon arrival. The first flight to Pakistan carried 134 passengers. This new service is expected to enhance connectivity between Sri Lanka and Pakistan, offering more travel options for passengers. A considerable number of people regularly travel between the two countries for tourism, trade, cultural exchange, education, sports, and related activities. FitsAir, a Sri Lankan-based budget airline, currently operates flights to India, Bangladesh, the Maldives, Malaysia, Dubai and now Pakistan.
