Silver Dawn Docked at a Port

Silver Dawn Docks at Trinco, Galle, and Colombo Ports

,

The Silver Dawn cruise ship, carrying 600 passengers, docked at three major ports in Sri Lanka—Trincomalee in the East, Galle in the South, and Colombo in the Western region.

Currently on a 141-day global voyage, the ship arrived at Trincomalee Port on April 7, Galle Port on April 9, and Colombo Port on April 10.

At each destination, passengers had the opportunity to experience some of Sri Lanka’s finest tourist attractions.

During their visit to Galle, tourists explored several popular locations, including Balapitiya, the Madu River, Unawatuna, Rumassala, and Koggala.

The ship later arrived at the Port of Colombo, located in Sri Lanka’s capital city.

The Silver Dawn, a 213-meter-long ultra-luxury cruise ship with 11 decks, is equipped with high-end facilities and is part of a global voyage titled “The Curious and the Sea.”

The vessel also has a crew of over 400 staff members.

The ship is now heading towards Kochi, India.

CRUISE SHIPS EXPECTED TO SRI LANKA IN 2026

Sri Lanka is set to welcome at least a series of more cruise ships to the country during 2026.

Those ships are scheduled to dock at Sri Lankan ports, including Colombo, Trincomalee, Galle, and Hambantota.

These arrivals are expected to attract thousands of tourists to the country.

Among the scheduled vessels is Mein Schiff 6, which is expected to arrive first in mid-2026 and again in late December, bringing approximately 2,700 passengers on each cruise trip.
