The monks are to be joined by more monks in the coming days along with the dog Aloka.

They will start the Walk for Peace Sri Lanka Chapter on the 22nd of April from Dambulla.

It will be titled “A Global Walk for Peace in the Island of Peace—Sri Lanka.”

The Peace Walk will officially commence on April 22, following the seeking of blessings at the historic Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi in Anuradhapura.

The spiritual monks will also carry a sacred sapling of the Sri Maha Bodhi, received with the blessings of the Maha Sangha throughout the march.

The sacred sampling is expected to be taken back to the USA, thus helping the spread of ‘Lord Buddha’s Word’ in America.
