Sri Lanka’s National Carrier, ‘Sri Lankan’ to add an Airbus to its fleet.

Sri Lanka’s national carrier, Lankan Airlines,, is planning to boost its aircraft strength by adding an Airbus A330.

The Airbus A330, which is expected to be added during this week, will help lift the national carrier’s aircraft strength to 23, with a composition of long-haul to medium-haul.

The new move, according to www.economynext is expected to come into effect within this week, and comes in the wake of Sri Lanka experiencing a boost in tourism arrivals to the country.

During the first five months of this year, Sri Lanka recorded a 1 million arrival figure.

India, Russia, the UK, Germany, France, China, Australia, and the United States are the top countries from which Sri Lanka gets its tourists.
