An Indigo Flight Boarded at an Airport

Indigo arrives in Colombo – Batik to launch direct flights from KL.

,

Indigo, one of India’s leading airlines, today (29th March) started its direct flights services to Colombo from Delhi.

With the commencement of this service, the airline will connect five Indian cities with Colombo.

From Delhi alone, Indigo will operate six flights a week on the route using A320 aircraft.

Among the cities that will be connected weekly are Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Delhi.

The new service will have 55 weekly flights between the capital, Colombo, and the Indian cities.

Apart from this service, Indigo is already connecting Chennai and Tiruchi with Jaffna with 100 weekly flights.

The entry of Indigo enables passengers multiple options with Sri Lankan Airlines to operate a heavy flight schedule between Sri Lanka and Indian cities.

Sri Lanka’s economic connectivity with India continues to improve on multiple fronts.

Top among them is the large number of Indian tourists, who arrive in Sri Lanka every month on short-term vacations.

The increasing flight numbers from the above cities mean Sri Lanka can earn more in the coming future from Indian tourists.

Batik Air Direct Flights Connects KL With Colombo

In the meantime, Batik Air will resume its direct flights between Kuala Lumpur and Colombo from 30th March.

The airline will operate four weekly flights on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
