Flights’ to Middle-East from BIA suspended , All Middle-East Bound Carriers from Sri Lanka have suspended their operations until further notice. The Airport and Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka advices passengers arriving at the local airports to check with their respective ‘Airline’ before arriving at the airport. It said: “Due to multiple regional airspace closures, all Middle East Bound carriers to and from Sri Lanka have suspended their operations until further notice” The Authorities says, therefore, passengers travelling to Middle East destinations, including those with the transit connections, are advised to check directly with their respective airlines, before arriving at the airport. SriLankan Airlines in its latest update announced 12 flight cancellations to the middle eastern region. SriLankan Airlines regrets to inform passengers that all flights departing from Colombo to Middle East destinations have been cancelled until 23:59 hrs on 01 March 2026 due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
