FitsAir and SriLankan provides new flight updates to Middle East

Fits Air, a Sri Lankan based carrier said, they will operate a flight from Colombo to Dubai on Sunday, 8th March.

Accordingly the flight will leave the BIA, Colombo at 7.15 AM and while another flight from Dubai will leave for Colombo at 11.40 am.

The Airline was one of the first to operate to the Middle Eastern region from Colombo, following suspension owing to the conflict.

It was followed by the SriLankan Airlines.

In the meantime, SriLankan has issued the following update pertaining to its middle eastern operations.

OPERATIONAL UPDATE

SriLankan Airlines inform our valued passengers that below scheduled flights have been suspended until 23:59 hrs on 07th and 8th March 2026.

Following services are affected:

*UL225 Colombo – Dubai  *UL226 Dubai – Colombo

*UL265 Colombo – Riyadh  *UL266 Riyadh – Colombo

*UL217 Colombo – Doha  *UL218 Doha – Colombo

*UL253 Colombo – Dammam  *UL254 Dammam – Colombo

*UL229 Colombo – Kuwait  *UL230 Kuwait – Colombo

*UL231 Colombo – Dubai  (8th March 2026)  *UL232 Dubai – Colombo  (8th March 2026)

Passengers who require assistance are encouraged to contact the SriLankan Airlines Global Contact Centre on 1979 (within Sri Lanka) / +94 11 777 1979 (International), their nearest SriLankan Airlines office, or the travel agent through whom the ticket was purchased.
