Sri Lanka’s First Anime Feature Film To Be Released Globally , මහා-දැන මුත්තා ( Man of knowledge) in Focus Sri Lanka’s first animated feature film, The Secret of the Moonstone, is expected to be released worldwide in the near future. Mogo Studios of Sri Lanka recently released the film’s trailer, marking a major milestone for the country’s film and animation industry. The story is set in a futuristic version of Colombo and follows a young boy named Lucky and his best friend, Taniya. The film chronicles the duo’s high-stakes adventure into Sri Lanka’s mystical forests as they set out to uncover the lost Book of Wisdom, once owned by Lucky’s ancestor, Maha Dena Muttha. The ancient book is guarded by a magical creature known as Nila, and the film highlights how the two friends overcome the many obstacles and challenges they face along the way. “The Secret of the Moonstone,” blends modern technology with Sri Lanka’s rich folklore, heritage, and themes of friendship. According to Mogo Studios, a team of visionaries, artists, and animators came together to bring characters to life and turn dreams into reality. The company also states on its website that Mogo Studios is Sri Lanka’s first real-time, feature-producing animation company.
