Roads: Colombo – Kurunegala Main Road, Colombo – Katugastota Main Road enroute to Kandy, Kurunegala – Padeniya Road towards Anuradhapura and Kitugala -Hatton – Nuwara-Eliya Road and Ella – Wellawaya Roads are open. Railways: This is the only area, where key routes will take time to operate, specially ones leading from Fort to Hatton / Badulla / Ella | Jaffna | Trincomalee | Batticalo | Kandy and Matale. Currently trains in the mainline only operates to Ambepussa, while the coastal line is fully operational.
