Now Kuwait Airways launches direct flights to Colombo , Kuwait Airways has resumed direct flight services to Sri Lanka, following a four-year suspension. The move will help Sri Lanka enhance business, trade, and tourism ties with the Middle Eastern nation. The latest move by the Kuwaiti airline will help boost more tourists from the Middle Eastern region to Sri Lanka. The new beginning saw the inaugural Kuwait airline flight, an A-320 Neo aircraft, landing in BIA, Katunayake, this morning. The aircraft was greeted with a traditional water salute, a symbolic gesture that marked the successful resumption of services between the two destinations. Before the latest direct flights, Kuwait was operating to Sri Lanka on a codeshare basis. With this launch, Kuwait Airways will operate 4 weekly flights to Colombo.
