Visa for 40 countries given ‘Free’ by Sri Lanka

Visa fees will not be ‘charged’ from travelers arriving in Sri Lanka form selected 40 countries. The Government announced.

The system, once fully implemented will provide relief to the travelers arriving in Sri Lanka.

What does “waived visas” mean? Visitors from these countries no longer have to pay the typical visa processing fee (previously around USD 50).

However, traveler will need to complete the required Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) or e‑Visa application, but these applications are now free of charge.
