Sri Lanka plans forum in Colombo to attract investors , Sri Lanka will host an investment forum in end march 2026 to promote the country to global investors. Titled, ‘Sri Lanka is Going Green’ The forum will primarily focus on attracting investment into four sectors covering services, manufacturing, leisure and recreation and infrastructure development. Sri Lanka is specifically focusing to attract investment into green projects such as Renewable Energy and also Green Transition. The investors will also have the opportunity to focus on high-value tech and infrastructure projects. The forum will be focus on showcasing ‘Sri Lanka as a premier hub for high-value sustainable and technology driven investments,’ says the Board of Investment, the country’s main agency for attracting foreign direct investments. “We are not talking about growth, we’re talking about a Green and Connected Future” Authorities are planning to invite investment into areas such as Logistics, Aviation, Hotel Development, Theme Park developments, Pharmaceuticals, and Industrial manufacturing among many. The forum will consist of an EU – Sri Lanka Investment Dialogue along with a Deal Match Making sessions, where potential investors can hold one to one sessions. Sri Lanka is targeting a sum of US$ 1.5 billion FDIs into the country in 2026. This is following achieving US$ 1.065 billion during the year 2025.
