BBC Re-Broadcasts Feature on Sri Lanka: Explores the Beauty , Rajan Datar of BBC Travel Show, journeys through the country, exploring local life and culture from the western coasts of Sri Lanka to the northernmost city. The show titled ‘BBC Travel Show – Sri Lanka – Return to Teardrop Island’ was first broadcast during the year 2024—two decades since Sri Lanka suffered from the deadly tsunami. The BBC re-telecasted the show just a few days ago! Datar, in his nearly 20-minute documentary, explores the country’s beautiful western coast and efforts by local environmental bodies to re-establish the lost coral reefs. He also tours the country’s business district, Fort, with celebrity actor Nimmi Harasgama and also explores the Sri Lankan culture and way of life. One of the most exquisite experiences for Rajan Datar is his journey to the ‘Yala National Park,’ where he firsthand witnesses the majestic elephants and listens to the story of Sri Lanka’s ‘Human-Elephant’ conflict.
