New Vehicle Owners to Re-Register to Obtain a Fuel Pass

New Vehicle Owners to Re-Register to Obtain a Fuel Pass

,

Motorists who have previously registered for the Fuel Pass and whose vehicle ownership and phone number have not changed can download their QR code from the website https://fuelpass.gov.lk

However, those who own newly registered vehicles or whose details (such as vehicle ownership or phone number) have changed must re-register on the website to obtain a new QR code, once again through the same link.

This is amidst the government reintroducing the fuel quota system starting today, amid worsening geopolitical developments in the Middle East.

Accordingly, fuel will not be issued without a valid QR code.

Vehicle registration for the QR code can be completed via https://fuelpass.gov.lk

Weekly Fuel Allocation Limits:

  • Motorcycles – 5 litres
  • Motor Cars – 15 litres
  • Three-wheelers – 15 litres
  • Vans – 40 litres
  • Buses – 60 litres
  • Lorries – 200 litres
  • Special Purpose Vehicles – 40 litres
  • Quadricycles – 5 litres
