Sri Lanka Implements Mandatory QR Code for Fuel

Sri Lanka has reintroduced the fuel quota QR CODE starting today, amid worsening geopolitical developments in the Middle East.

Accordingly, fuel will not be issued without a valid QR code.

Vehicle owners must register their vehicles to obtain a QR code.

Vehicle registration for the QR code can be completed via https://fuelpass.gov.lk

Weekly Fuel Allocation Limits:

  • Motorcycles – 5 litres
  • Motor Cars – 15 litres
  • Three-wheelers – 15 litres
  • Vans – 40 litres
  • Buses – 60 litres
  • Lorries – 200 litres
  • Special Purpose Vehicles – 40 litres
  • Quadricycles – 5 litres
