Fresh and Juicy ‘Rambutan’ in Sri Lanka”

,

Rambutan – the freshly picked, juicy, slightly tangy, and a perfect way to taste the tropics!

Rambutan ( A tasty delicacy) season in Sri Lanka typically falls between May and August, with the peak harvest in June and July.

During this time, rambutan trees across the island—especially in areas like Matale, Kegalle, Gampaha, and Kurunegala—burst with clusters of bright red and yellow fruits.

This period coincides with the island’s Southwest monsoon (Yala season), providing the perfect climate for the fruit to ripen. Roadside vendors, village markets, and fruit stalls overflow with rambutan, making it one of the most eagerly awaited fruits of the year.
